CAF’s mission is to serve people with physical disabilities through sport and fitness with meaningful grants.
Over the last 30 years, CAF has given over 48,000 grants to individuals with permanent physical disabilities worldwide and continues to have a life changing impact on members of the adaptive sports community.
CAF has multiple grant opportunities that allow anyone with a permanent disability to apply.
CAF’s flagship grant program aims to remove the barriers that exist between adaptive athletes and their pursuit of sport and fitness. This is an annual grant cycle that lets you choose equipment from the approved vendor list and apply for the exact equipment you prefer.
CAF’s Operation Rebound is a grant providing military, U.S. law enforcement officers, firefighters, and paramedics with permanent physical injuries an opportunity to strengthen their mental and physical well-being through the power of sport.

How to apply for a
CAF GRANT
1. CHOOSE THE GRANT YOU WANT AND MAKE SURE YOU QUALIFY.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Individuals worldwide with permanent physical disabilities are eligible to apply for the CAF Annual grant. In order to apply for a CAF grant, an individual must have a permanent physical disability that impairs mobility, affects the neuromuscular system, or impairs balance or motor control. Chronic pain, hearing impairments, cognitive and developmental disabilities do not qualify for support through CAF's grant programs. Teams, Organizations, and non-disabled individuals are not eligible to apply for grant support.
2. PREPARE FOR THE GRANT CYCLE TO BEGIN
Mark your calendar for September when the 2025 grant cycle will open and apply as soon as possible.
Gather any information and documents needed to complete the application process.
3. CHOOSE THE EQUIPMENT YOU WANT TO APPLY FOR
Choose the equipment you want to apply for from the list of available options.

4. APPLY FOR THE GRANT!

4. WAIT FOR GRANT DISTRIBUTION DAY
CAF will inform you if you were awarded the grant on distribution day. After you receive the grant and accept it from CAF, Top End will send you an email to help you place your perfect custom order.
