I'm so grateful to have received funding for my very own Top End Force RX through Victoria's Victory Foundation. Custom equipment is a complete game-changer, and this handcycle has let me go miles and miles in total comfort.
It's also given me the opportunity to compete in paratriathlon and compete at Nationals, and without a custom piece of equipment, this goal would not have been possible for me.
I'm on my handcycle almost every single day, and as someone with nerve pain and muscle spasms, I require equipment to keep my body in the correct position and relieve as much pain as possible.
I'm so happy with my handcycle, and I can't wait to put thousands of miles on it!
Since 2018, the Victory Program has awarded approximately $710,000 for mobility equipment & services, over $750,000 for activity based training sessions, more than $140,000 on home & vehicle modifications, and approximately $99,000 for in-home nursing services.
